The communal house of Hai Chau village was once known as Phuoc Hai pagoda. This is the place when Lord Nguyen Phuc Chu in the year of the Pig (1719) entered Quang Nam, stopped and stayed here. The villagers of Hai Chau then built an altar to King Nguyen Phuc Chu here.

In front of the communal house is a small lake with a shady rockery and a hundred-year-old si tree.
